Bed Bug Heat Treatment in Berkshire
Berkshire is a corridor of towns along the Thames and the M4: Slough and Windsor in the east, Maidenhead and Bracknell in the middle, Reading and Wokingham at the centre and Newbury and the Downs to the west. It has one of the densest concentrations of purpose-built and converted flats outside London, alongside Victorian terraces, corporate short-lets and large rural properties.

Property and access
What affects a Berkshire heat treatment
The practical detail of the building changes the plan far more than the region does.
Reading's converted and terraced housing
Central Reading — Newtown, East Reading, Katesgrove and the Oxford Road corridor — is largely Victorian terraces, many converted into flats or let room by room. Shared voids and multiple households in one building shape both sealing and preparation.
Purpose-built and riverside apartments
Reading's station quarter, Maidenhead town centre, Slough's regeneration blocks and Windsor's riverside developments are dominated by managed apartment buildings, where lift access, loading bays and agent permission decide what is possible.
Corporate lets and short-stay accommodation
The M4 corridor has a lot of relocation, contractor and short-stay accommodation with frequent occupant turnover. Establishing who is responsible for preparation and access is the first practical step.
Slough's dense and multi-occupied stock
Slough contains substantial terraced, converted and multi-occupied housing where several households share a single building. Coordination between occupants matters as much as the treatment plan itself.
Bracknell and Wokingham post-war housing
Bracknell's new-town estates and Wokingham's post-war and modern developments have predictable layouts and on-plot parking, which usually makes access and room-by-room planning straightforward.
West Berkshire rural property
Newbury, Hungerford and the Downs villages include period cottages, thatch and converted farm buildings, where electrical supply and vehicle access are confirmed in advance.
The treatment
How the treatment itself works
The method does not change between towns. These are the authoritative pages.
Quotations
How treatment is quoted in Berkshire
Quotations follow the same national approach. There is no Berkshire surcharge and no automated price — every quotation is prepared by a person.
Quoted individually
Every property is quoted on its own treatment requirements

No automated calculator and no published price list
Guarantee
Six-month guarantee
6-Month Guarantee
Our six-month guarantee provides additional reassurance following qualifying treatments. Full guarantee conditions are provided before treatment and form part of the customer agreement.
Terms and conditions apply. The guarantee is conditional, and known operational conditions include matters such as:
- Bed bug activity originating from an adjoining property
- Reintroduction following treatment
- Activity outside the agreed treatment scope
- Failure to comply with agreed preparation requirements
- Failure to follow relevant aftercare requirements
Full conditions are provided in writing before treatment. This page explains the principle of the guarantee only — it is not the customer agreement.

Berkshire treatment evidence
We do not publish invented local case studies. Anonymised Berkshire evidence will appear here once genuine treatment records have been through our approval and anonymisation process.
Questions
Berkshire questions
- Does Berkshire still exist?
- As a ceremonial and postal geography, yes. As a council, no — it was replaced by six unitary authorities in 1998. We keep the customer-facing region simple while recording the correct authority underneath.
- Is Slough in Berkshire or Buckinghamshire?
- Slough is a Berkshire unitary authority. Its SL postcode area, however, extends north into Buckinghamshire — the table above shows which districts sit where.
- My postcode is RG — is that always Berkshire?
- No. RG districts reach into Hampshire (Basingstoke, Tadley), Oxfordshire (Henley) and Surrey. Each district is listed against the authority it actually falls in, and only the Berkshire ones are claimed as Berkshire.
- Do you treat serviced apartments and corporate lets?
- Yes, subject to the building and the operator. Access, permission and who prepares the property need to be settled with the operator or landlord before treatment day.
- Do you have an office in Reading or Slough?
- We are a specialist mobile heat treatment service and do not publish local office addresses. Berkshire is a service area, not a branch location.
