Newquay, Falmouth and the north coast carry hotels, hostels and seasonal staff housing with high occupant turnover. These are planned by block or floor rather than one room in isolation.
Former mining and clay-country housing
Camborne, Pool, Redruth, St Austell and the clay villages hold long runs of miners' terraces and later social housing, frequently rented and often sharing roof voids along the row.
Isolated rural and moorland property
Bodmin Moor, the Lizard, west Penwith and the north coast include farmhouses, converted barns and park homes well away from a main road, where supply capacity and loading distance decide what is achievable in a day.
Travel the length of the county
Penzance to Bude is a journey of well over two hours by road. Cornwall is served from several hubs along the A30 and A38 rather than treated as a single catchment, and far-west and north-coast visits are scheduled with that travel included.
