Bed Bug Heat Treatment in Central Valleys

Central Valleys covers Merthyr Tydfil and Caerphilly County Borough: Merthyr and the upper Taff, the Taff Bargoed and Rhymney valleys through Treharris, Bargoed and Ystrad Mynach, the Sirhowy valley at Blackwood, the Ebbw at Newbridge and Risca, and Caerphilly itself on the Cardiff fringe. Hubs follow the valleys so each community is reached by its own road.

Areas we cover

Central Valleys districts, service areas and postcodes

Coverage grouped by authorities, with service areas, postcode districts and boundary detail from the verified geographic registry. A geographic match is not the same as confirmed service availability.

Merthyr Tydfil and Caerphilly are two separate unitary authorities. They are presented as one CoverageMaps Pro region because their valley communities form one practical service geography between the Heads of the Valleys road and the M4. Each table states the authority an address sits in.

Property and access

What affects a Central Valleys heat treatment

The practical detail of the building changes the plan far more than the region does.

Valley terraces

The Taff, Rhymney, Sirhowy and Ebbw valleys hold dense stone terraces from the industrial period, often with adjoining roof and floor voids that are checked as part of a treatment.

Estate housing

Gurnos, Galon Uchaf, Lansbury Park and Graig-y-Rhacca hold large post-war estates where whole-property treatment is normally planned rather than single-room work.

Commuter housing

Caerphilly, Ystrad Mynach and Blackwood hold modern estates for the Cardiff and Newport commuter market where a discreet, planned visit is usually preferred.

Town-centre flats and conversions

Merthyr Tydfil, Caerphilly and Blackwood town centres hold flats above shops and subdivided buildings with shared access that are assessed together.

Supported and social housing

The valleys hold a large social-housing stock and supported accommodation, where communal areas are assessed alongside individual rooms.

Guest accommodation

Brecon Beacons gateway villages such as Pontsticill and Cefn Coed carry guest houses and holiday lets with changeover that work is planned around.

Guarantee

Six-month guarantee

6-Month Guarantee

Our six-month guarantee provides additional reassurance following qualifying treatments. Full guarantee conditions are provided before treatment and form part of the customer agreement.

Terms and conditions apply. The guarantee is conditional, and known operational conditions include matters such as:

  • Bed bug activity originating from an adjoining property
  • Reintroduction following treatment
  • Activity outside the agreed treatment scope
  • Failure to comply with agreed preparation requirements
  • Failure to follow relevant aftercare requirements

Full conditions are provided in writing before treatment. This page explains the principle of the guarantee only — it is not the customer agreement.

Questions

Central Valleys questions

Is Central Valleys one council?
No. Merthyr Tydfil and Caerphilly are two separate unitary authorities, covered together as one practical service geography.
Which hub covers the Rhymney valley?
Bargoed covers the upper valley through New Tredegar to Rhymney and Pontlottyn; Ystrad Mynach covers Hengoed, Nelson and Gelligaer.
Is Risca closer to Newport?
Geographically yes, but Risca sits in Caerphilly County Borough and is its own hub here, covering Crosskeys, Pontymister and Cwmcarn.
Is Treharris covered from Merthyr?
Treharris is its own hub covering the Taff Bargoed valley, Quakers Yard, Edwardsville and Bedlinog.
Can a terrace be treated on its own?
Yes. The adjoining properties are considered because bed bugs move through shared voids, and neighbours can be checked with their agreement.
