Bed Bug Heat Treatment in Mid Wales

Mid Wales covers Powys and Ceredigion: the largest and emptiest area in our coverage. Aberystwyth and Newtown are the population centres, and everything else is market towns and farming country separated by long journeys over the Cambrian Mountains. Hubs here are widely spaced on purpose, because pretending otherwise would misrepresent how long it takes to reach a property.

Areas we cover

Mid Wales districts, service areas and postcodes

Coverage grouped by authorities, with service areas, postcode districts and boundary detail from the verified geographic registry. A geographic match is not the same as confirmed service availability.

Powys and Ceredigion are two separate unitary authorities, covered together because the road network links them and not because they share a council. Powys alone covers a very large area and is not the same as the former Brecknock, Radnor and Montgomery districts, which no longer exist. Each table states the authority an address sits in.

Property and access

What affects a Mid Wales heat treatment

The practical detail of the building changes the plan far more than the region does.

Farmhouses and agricultural property

Working farms across Powys and Ceredigion sit on long tracks where access, parking, turning space and available power are confirmed before a date is agreed.

Student and shared housing in Aberystwyth

Aberystwyth holds a large shared and student market in converted seafront terraces, where a reported room is treated as part of a whole building.

Market town centres

Brecon, Welshpool, Newtown, Llandrindod Wells and Machynlleth hold older stone and timber buildings above shops, with irregular layouts and shared party walls.

Country inns and bunkhouses

Walking and cycling routes across the Cambrians and the Brecon Beacons support inns, hostels and bunkhouses with bunk rooms that are assessed as whole units.

Holiday cottages and long-let conversions

Converted barns and stone cottages across both counties are let seasonally, so work is planned around the booking calendar rather than around a single room.

Coastal Ceredigion housing

Aberaeron, New Quay, Borth and Cardigan hold older terraced and Georgian property, much of it let to visitors during the season.

Guarantee

Six-month guarantee

6-Month Guarantee

Our six-month guarantee provides additional reassurance following qualifying treatments. Full guarantee conditions are provided before treatment and form part of the customer agreement.

Terms and conditions apply. The guarantee is conditional, and known operational conditions include matters such as:

  • Bed bug activity originating from an adjoining property
  • Reintroduction following treatment
  • Activity outside the agreed treatment scope
  • Failure to comply with agreed preparation requirements
  • Failure to follow relevant aftercare requirements

Full conditions are provided in writing before treatment. This page explains the principle of the guarantee only — it is not the customer agreement.

Questions

Mid Wales questions

Why are there so few hubs for such a large area?
Because journeys here are genuinely long. Fewer, real hubs describe the service honestly; a hub in every village would not.
Is Powys one council?
Yes. Brecknock, Radnorshire and Montgomeryshire are historic areas, not current authorities, although postcodes still follow those patterns.
How far ahead should remote properties book?
Longer than urban work. Appointments across the Cambrians and the Beacons are grouped by hub so a full day can be planned around travel.
Is Ystradgynlais covered from Brecon?
No. Ystradgynlais is its own hub, because the upper Swansea valley is a separate journey from the rest of Powys.
Do you treat farm accommodation and bunkhouses?
Yes. Bunk rooms and shared sleeping accommodation are assessed as whole units rather than bed by bed.
